    Antonio Maragrito finally did it!!!!

The Tijuanna Tornado finally beat somebody of note and worth. Cong**** to him, he put on a hell of fight and display of will that I haven't seen in a long time. And Margarito is defintely one of the toughest SOBs in the sport of boxing today. But Cotto just flat out lost that fight!! He made the fight way harder than he had to by going to those ropes and only moving in 1 direction. Margarito knew where he was going to go, hell I knew. How do you just move left against the ropes the whole fight? All he had to do was stay in the middle of the ring and use his handspeed and superior boxing skills. He constantly just backed up into the ropes and let margarito **** away. All he had to do was circle and jab and throw a few combos and hold a when it got too thick and then reset and do it again. i'm not trying to take away margarito great feat on Sat, but Cotto lost that fight!!!

That gameplan of staying in the middle of the ring sounds amazing on paper but not so much when Margarito is constantly backing him up. Do you think Cotto wanted to have his back on the ropes? I dont.

He deserves credit for beating Clottey, and Cintron also.

Then Cotto's boxing skill needs to be questioned. Maybe he isn't the boxer that we thought and maybe his more of brawler and just got out brawled. I mean Clottey was able to do it and williams was able to do it. Santos was able to do it. And cotto was supposedly held in higher regard than them. Iani't saying it is easy. but he didn't fight smart, margarito was too flawed of a boxer to beat him.

And what was up with them judges....I had margarito down atleast a rd by the 11th

Read the article where his corner says the body shots and nose blead did it to him, they say they would advise him to stay off the ropes but Margarito forced him in and he could not execute his game plan.

cintron has no heart for boxing anyways and needs not fight again. Clottey on the other hand (nopun intended) was handless for like 6 rds and still did better job than Cotto in as far as staying off the ropes. Clottey beats margarito if they fight again.

I think Cotto could have had a better chance if he threw 1-2 at most 3 punches and then moved. Instead later after the first couple of rounds he was sitting his ground and throwing 4-5 punches combos.

It might have still been that he didnt have the stamina to keep up 12 rounds.

It's funny because most (not all, but most) Margarito fans, dont know **** about boxing (neither cotto's or pbf's by the way) and they were all pointing out intangibles such as Tony's s warrior, he is unstoppable. which 99% of the time is bollocks. Well...

this time they were right. Margarito, while being sloppy and slow as hell, is one of the toughest bastards in boxing, he walked through **** that would have KOed almost anyone in 147. I am not saying Cotto is unbeatable except by Tony, as other fighters would dodge/block many of those punches. But IMO anyone who actually took that **** flush would have been out by 6.
