I have been one of the more vocal Margarito detractors on this site and even I am taking my hat off to the guy. He fought one of the grittiest, most determined fights I had seen in a long time. He deserves everything he gets for this victory because very few in mainstream press thought he had a shot.

When he walked to the ring he had this look in his eye like he already knew he was going to win. There was no doubt in him. Margarito walked through some wicked shots, the equivalent of what Andy Duphrane crawled through in Shawshank Redemption.

Margarito's time has come and he should be appreciate for that.
