With that said, I think I had it even.
Right hook to the liver int he 2nd and the combo at the end of the 7th. He was hurt both times.

Margarito just sold his soul to you Jack. He feels no pain.

fights are judged per round not on who you think is hitting harder and margarito's face is ****ed up why are people acting like margarito has nothing wrong with him cotto had a cut over his eye lid which was probably a head butt and his nose seemed to be broke but thats about it once the blood was wiped off his face he looked better than margaritos.
did anybody notice when kellerman asked margarito how he knew cotto was weakining and he said i caught cotto with a couple low blows and some body shots i knew he was going to wear down

The highlighted portion is important for idiots/fanboys to read who have never boxed or don't understand how to score professional prize fights.

These are exactly my thoughts. Its amazing that people act like Margarito outclassed Cotto throughout the fight and it was just a lopsided fight.
              I had Cotto 97-93.

                what highlighted portion?

                anyways.

It doesn't matter what the scorecards were after 6, just like it didn't matter what the scorecards were after 4 rounds of the Clottey fight.

What matters is the end result.

Margarito owns both fighters. Williams and Mayweather are next.

I had Cotto up 4-2 after 6 rounds and the fight was even after 10. Yes, Cotto boxed brilliantly for 6 rounds. Yes, he saw Tonys punches coming in droves. Yes Tony was slower and Cotto was the better boxer.

However, all the matchup of attributes mean **** when these guys step into the ring.

Antonio Margarito kicked Miguel Cottos ass the same way Julio Cesar Chavez kicked Meldrick Taylors ass. They took some big shots in the process but in the end wound up as victors.

Lets go brady, yes fights are judged per round. Part of the equation is who has the more effective punches. Many times, the guy who punches harder has more effective punches even though he is landing less.

Sorry, I highlighted it. I do agree with your point about that in the end it doesn't matter, what matters is who won.

But the questions was who did you have up on the fight by the scorecards. Simple question, simple answer.

Thing is, the fight was scheduled for 12, not 6 rounds.

Its amazing that even though Margarito kicked his ass, people only want to point out what scores they had.

Scores become irrelevant when your boy quits. That is why nobody cares about his superior boxing for 6 rounds.

He still didn't bulldoze through Cotto and people are acting like he wasn't even in the fight...
