Why where we all so shocked Tony M Won?

Okay so we all have either seen or heard about the fight, I myself choose Cotto to win because i liked him better and his upside. However after watching the fight again and looking into the particulars. Im shocked so many had Cotto winning, he was smaller, and had trouble against volume punchers ( he hasnt fought to many of them) and thrived against similar size opponents, but **** Tony M was atleast 4-5 pants size bigger, 3-4 inces taller and on fight night atleast 10-15 pounds heavier! Why was Cotto so favored.. Because he was exceptional in all his previous endavors and Tony M struggled.. but with that said Tony M comp in say the last 4 fights was better and had more upside then Cotto's opponents: Urkal, Judah, Mosely, Gomez.... To Tony's Clottey, Williams, Johnson, Cintron.. Im just shocked man.. I should have seen it and will start picking winners on facts not passion... Tony M is not great, Cotto was just smaller and his skills were not superior but seen(Mosely fight) and commended not proven (like Floyd)!

i was not shocked he won but i was very suprised that he managed to break Cotto's will and bust him so bad, mind u prior to the fight i suspected if Marg was going to win it was gonna be by stoppage so i cant really understand why i was so suprised when he did stop Cotto the way he did

i guess i did not expcet him to do it so brutally and convincing

i weigh 220 i wear a 38 Tony has to be a 34-36 cotto is no bigger then a 32

I'm not shocked.. I knew Cotto would underestimate margarito... Cotto did exactly what i thought he would do for the first 6 rounds... outbox margarito easily...

and then cotto would get tired like i had made thread about... just like he did in judah/mosely.


and as of now I am stating now that cotto knows to what extent margarito throws if they fight again he will do a sloppy,harder hitting,less defensive, warrior like mayweather... and win the rematch,.

u reckon i hope so but i cant see it ,allthough as strange as it sounds Cotto may have had more success taking it to Marg instead of backing up and using a tactic he is not that familiar with ,but then again he could of got beaten even quicker by doing that so

If they rematch Cotto should try to smother Tony, he can get the good body shots in like he needs to and margs long arms will be ineffective.
