imho there doesn't need to be a rematch because margarito clearly won and probably would win again. cotto first needs a tune-up, someone that can last 12 rounds with cotto and force cotto to work all 12 rounds but not dangerous enough to beat him.

wow wow wow, I disagree by a million. MARG won BIG but not enough to not have a rematch. If Cotto can get his defense game up and KEEP MOVING like he did the first half, HE COULD clearly have a chance at winning. ITS NOT like it was one sided. That fight was close and REALLY GOOD..... Not taking anything away from MARG (he's a true warrior too) BUT its not like Cotto just ****** and would get killed in a rematch. He just needs to take time off and yes maybe have another fight before he gets back in there with Marg. BUT I still would give him a chance a second go around....... he would just need to KEEP moving!

did you see cotto's face after the fight once the blood was wiped off? his face looks much better than margarito's.margarito didn't make cotto do anything he didn't want to, cotto would lay on the rope on his own and wait for margarito to come.i'm not knocking margarito

i knew margarito would not let down. he know joins a long list of many before him. as for his face looking worse, thats gota be the most insane thing iv heard. his eyes were puffed up, but cotto was totaly swelled up, cut, bleeding from the nose, to tell you the truth i felt sorry for him. he is fighter with balls, and when his fight didnt work he fought instead of run, so much respect. but he has nothing to do in the ring with margarito a 2nd time, cus theres no way...margarito is now the best welter and he should try to fight de la hoya for the money he deserves, everyone else comes 2nd. MARGARITO #1 !

uh I don't see that as a good thing, granted Cotto did have his guard up, but IMO it was a bad idea to sit on the ropes like that as Miguel made himself an easy target.

11th doesn't count thats when the fight was stopped the 2nd could of went either way and alot of people including myself give cotto the 8th

this isn't a beauty pageant so why make such a fuss about faces?
