    Marcus Beyer

WBC super middleweight champion Marcus Beyer will defend his title against an opponent to be named on December 18 at the Lebecker Hansehalle in Lebeck, Germany. Saunderland stablemate Danilo Haeussler will also appear on the card. FROM *********.

Is that pathetic or what? "An opponent to be named" In otherwords the guy from the sub shop whata joke.

Beyer was scheduled to fight "some guy" from Italy about 2-3weeks ago. I have asked around, but haven't got an answer to what happened in that fight. Seems the North American media have overlooked another Beyer fight, what a shame, wonder why.

Not that I care at all about Beyer, except to have a laugh at the "legacy" he's building ..... in Germany, the Fight Capital of the World. He needs to be shamed into fighting "somebody" real soon. But, the German fight fans don't seem to be tired of watching Beyer's on-going PunchingBag Fest. Both the German boxing fans and Beyer are quickly loosing credibility with these opponents.

Yupp. I watch that entire fight. Green had Beyer down twice with big right hands. But, Green's upward head movement was a bit judged to be intentional. The slow-motion replay shows the upward movement, but Beyer was moving downward also. It's a tough call, 'cause these guys were leaning on each other's heads many times during the night.

One thing that's agreed though, Green was ahead on every card, except of course the three European Judges at ring side.

beyer regained his wbc sup-middle title by 6th round ko over christian sanavia.
he had lost the title in his previous bout to sanavia on points.

Beyer is a milk cow for the ARD (German television). Him losing the title again (against a solid but definitly not world class boxer like Sanavia) would kill his credibilty and there'd be no point anymore in selling him as a legitimate world champion. He'll fight two or three more bums until he either steps up or retires. Sad but true because he's got some talent to show.
