After all this talk about Floyd ducking the best,Marg seems to be avoiding a rematch with Paul Williams.Paul has called him out and said"I will knock him out in the rematch" but Marg doesn't want to avenge his loss like a "true Mexican warrior" would. When asked by the commentator after the Cotto fight of a possible match up he waved his hand as if Williams doesn't deserve it.The only name on Margs mind was Oscar. If Floyd recieved negative criticism for fighting a "past it" Oscar, shouldn't Margarito? If Marg is the most feared man in boxing why does he fear a man named Paul "The Punisher" Williams?
Margarito is the new Floyd Mayweather?

Unsurprising that Marg wouldn't want the fight. Williams combines speed, workrate and decent chin, so he is pretty much a perfect anti-Margarito opponent. However, the Williams we have seen recently has been walking his opponents (Quintana) down and if he tried that on Marg it probably wouldn't work. Marg can beat Williams in a fight, but not in a boxing match, so it depends on which Williams turns up.After all this talk about Floyd ducking the best,Marg seems to be avoiding a rematch with Paul Williams.Paul has called him out and said"I will knock him out in the rematch" but Marg doesn't want to avenge his loss like a "true Mexican warrior" would. -
Honestly, I don't really care for a rematch at this point.
In a sense, the welterweight division is a far more talented version of the heavyweight division.
You have Clottey, Judah, Mosley, De La Hoya, Cotto, Margarito, Williams, and Quintana and Berto. When you think of all the possible fights, you can't say there is one guy who can just CLEARLY beat anyone else, unless you're a biased prick. it's an even division. Quite like the heavyweight division. Anyone can beat anyone, almost, on any given night. Except, like I said... the welterweight division doesn't suck.
I think Williams and Margarito have the best chance of cleaning out the division, however. If they did that, a rematch would be HUGE.Comment

Because I think that fight, right now, doesn't make PPV, when it's a PPV-worthy fight.
If Margarito got passed Judah or (preferably) Mosley and did it on PPV that would help things. He also expressed interest in beating all the major Puerto Rican stars. He could beat Quintana on a decent fight to gain another name and more Mexican fans. Meanwhile, if Williams fought Clottey or Judah/Mosley (whoever Margarito doesn't pick) and perhaps a Berto showdown. This fight would be A LOT bigger than it is now.
With Mayweather, all his fights were PPV. So, it was a bit weird that he would wait, and let what happened with Cotto, happen. Whereas, with these two, money isn't there yet. Not like it should be. It would actually make SENSE for it to happen later. This way, they DO get PPV money and they both build their careers.Comment

That is true.Margarito did just burst on the scene into mega stardom after beating Cotto and more exposure would create more PPV buys, but the way he seemed to dismiss the commentator when he mentioned Paul's name wories me.I heard he didn't even want Paul Williams until he was pressured by the public because of his persona as the most feared man in boxing. If the fight goes down I will be a happy boxing fan.I am a fan of Margs but as the most feared man,he should fear no one.LMAOBecause I think that fight, right now, doesn't make PPV, when it's a PPV-worthy fight.
