Quite the opposite actually. I hate it when the guy who fights on his heels the entire fight wins. God Bless that Mexican.

If he was SUCH the superior boxer, in general, he should have been able to answer ANYTHING Margarito threw his direction. He couldn't on that night.
I agree. The more determined, tougher guy won on Saturday night. He worked hard as hell for it too...walked through the fire and came out on top. Cotto may be a better, more polished boxer with more dimensions, but Margarito was superior in the ways that mattered on Saturday night.

It was nothing to do with cottos boxing skills. It was to do with his stamina and ability to take a punch

It was both. The way to beat Margarito is to outbox him so he doesn't get the chance to beat you up, which is what Williams did. Cotto couldn't do this and in the end Marg caught up with him to exploit the weaknesses you mentioned. If Cotto had been just a little bit better of a boxer, particularly as regards his ability to evade Margarito, he would have won.

Margarito is not inferior to Cotto and Pavlik is definatley not inferior to Taylor!

i dont think Williams outboxed him he just outworked him threw more punches and Marg was far to inactive early on but that was probably more to do with Williams Southpaw stance more than anything

i agree with u on the last part though especially about Cotto being easier to hit on the back foot he is a good Boxer just not illusive enough ,one of the reasons he is not illusive is cause like Dela Hoya who has always been easy to hit he fights to square on ,if u watch the likes of PBF ,Quintana they fight side on which makes them more difficult to hit cause they are a smaller target to hit

I kind've enjoyed watching Ricardo "the wild man" Mayorga batter Vernon Forrest.
