What a bull**** quote by Quintana

Here's what he just said in June.

"I am stronger and my training has been more intense than it was for the first fight. I know he took me lightly our first time around, so I am training harder and smarter than ever before.”

    Carlos Quintana (6/3/2008)

The emphasis in bold was by me. There's no need for a rematch, it was posted on here that Williams' camp even stated he didn't bother effectively training by sparring any southpaws in their first bout. So, we have a Quintana who brought his absolute A game in the rematch, but when Williams brought his (unlike the first fight), Carlos doesn't even survive the 1st round!

Quintana should be asking for a Cotto rematch
So, even though Williams was clearly beaten in the first fight and deserved a rematch, Quintana doesn't?

A clear loss is a clear loss. One punch could have changed that second fight. No reason to not find out who the superior fighter is, once and for all. It's 1 and 1. No matter how you wanna try and angle it.

I'm all for it. I say whoop Carlos a second time to remove any doubts while Margarito gets into a title defense or unifies another belt before giving him a rematch too.... assuming Margarito would want one.

I'd like to see it honestly. Put it on the undercard of a Cotto-Margarito rematch. That'd sell pretty good except Gussen Tutor would never agree.

Paul has a right to brush off Carlos right now. he's in line to challenge for the top spot at WW, not just a belt. I wouldn't mind Carlos gettin a 3rd fight but not right now.

There are many fighters who got KO in the 1st round and then cameback strong
              Um.... who?

It figures that a Margs fan would want to see a third fight with Williams even though Williams took Quintana out in half a round. Sorry, Q is not deserving of a third fight yet. Margs should want to rematch Williams though lol. Nice try Margs fans. You guys are pathetic lol. Fight Williams a second time Margs...lol get revenge!

Quintana deserves it and I'll say right now that I'll root for him to win a clear decision again like the first time around. Anyone who says Quintana does not deserve a rematch well Quintana does deserve a Williams rematch just like Williams said he deserved a rematch, he is more deserving of a rematch than Margarito is since Quintana won to Williams and gave him an imidiate rematch instead of waiting around for another fighter.

by the way, link where you heard this?

I think Quintana deserves a 3rd fight and I think Williams knows it would be a very difficult fight. Id pick Williams by close decision or by stoppage again, but Quintana would definitely have a shot. He proved that in the first fight and we didnt really get to see if Williams could really adjust in the rematch, it ended too quickly. Actually I think it would be more like their first fight if they thought again, but I think Williams would be able to hurt and stun Quintana at times to get the edge.

I hope both will get some big fights against new opponents though.
