Cotto can comeback just like Arthur Abraham did

Arthur Abraham got his jaw broken in Germany against Miranda. He took an Ass whoopin. At that time Miranda was considered a beast just like Margarito. Everybody thought that Abraham was finished and maybe even should retire.

What happened? He took a few fights against lesser opponents, got his confidence back, and knocked out Miranda in the rematch.

Besides how long can a 29 year old (almost 30) Margarito keep this up? He has been taking blows to the head for a living for 15 years. Cotto is the one with more tools. By the time they meet again, I suspect Cotto will get his groove back and Margarito's so called Chin-prime won't be as good as it was.

Fighters like Margarito don't last long. Eric Morales turned pro young and he was finished by age 30. It's just about that time for Margarito.

Abraham fought until the end of the 12th round with his jaw broken. Cotto asked his corner to throw in the towel before Margarito killed him. Big difference.

He'll come back as a fighter, but his reputation will always have this blemish on it. And it will take some serious soul searching before he is able to look Margarito in the eye again.

The guy has trememdous skill and devotes himself to the sport and nothing else, he will come back with fire under his belly.

On top of that he can beat pretty much any welter out there with the exception of a Paul Williams.

He may have goten beat by Margs but in a rematch I can cotto taking him out.

That's the most ******ed post I've seen. The scenerios are different between Abraham's fight and Cotto's but the overall point is the same.

And I'm pretty sure Cotto already did look him in the eyes and could again.

Abraham didn't lose though, he went 12 rounds with a broken jaw and still won, it's nowhere near as damaging mentally as Cotto losing to Margarito, Cotto hit Margarito with everything to the head including the kitchen sink and Margarito went nowhere and kept going forward and ultimately knocked him out.

You make an analogy betweent two fights that have almost nothing in common, aside from one guy getting hurt badly, and call me out for a ******ed post?

              Look at the facts:
              1. Cotto lost. Abraham won.
              2. Cotto couldn't continue. Abraham finished the fight.
              3. Margarito broke Cotto's will. Miranda couldn't break Abraham's will despite a broken jaw.

These two fights have few similarities besides one guy getting beat the **** up. Yes, Abraham came back from getting beat up, and so can Cotto. What I'm not sure Cotto can come back from is the mental and psychological punishment he took in going down on his knees to Margarito and ultimately having to face the fact that the other man was so superior that he couldn't hang for five more minutes. Not only that, but he gave Margarito everything he had and never seemed to hurt him. That's gotta make a guy feel inferior, which isn't good for a fighter.

DID HE SAY "I QUIT" TO THE REF???? If so, I must've missed it.

From what I saw, he got back up on his feet and it was his corner who threw in the towel. Did he have a look of resignation on his face? Yes but that isn't quitting.

Do you know what resignation means? It means quitting. So he looked like he wanted to quit, and kept taking knees, but he didn't quit? Ok, whatever.

The look in his eyes told his corner he was done; they would have been negligent had they not thrown in the towel. Plus I could've sworn I saw Cotto give a little nod to his uncle as he came up on the apron.

He quit... which was the smart, safe thing to do. But like someone else said... it will eat away at him until he redeems himself, if not forever.
