    The Welterweight Picture

The way I see it, Margarito fights Williams again to unify their belts. The winner of Judah-Clottey (who will have the vacant IBF strap) should face Cotto, and from there, the last two men standing go at it.

Perhaps once that's done, MAYBE Andre Berto could face the last man standing to completely unify the division.

This is my exact scenerio except I want it all on one PPV card:

    Cotto/Clottey or Judah?
    Margarito/Williams

    Then the winners square off!!!!!

That would be great...but Margarito's gonna fight and get beat by my second favorite Puerto Rican fighter - Oscar De La Hoya

This ain't Japan man. They value people's money over there. Here they will milk at least 4 ppvs out of you for those fights and 75% of it will consist in: Michael Buffer's deep voice, upcoming new pop artists putting 4 national anthems to shame (not a compliment, and yes they have a way to insert a 4th anthem in there so they can promote yet another artist), 5 crappy fights and a good one. Times 4.

On the other hand in mma you had the number one p4p Anderson Silva and number one Heavyweight Fedor Emilianenko among stars of the caliber of Zab Judah, Shane Mosley, Oscar De La Hoya fighting in 2 cards in the same night. The number 3 p4p fighter fought twice in the same night, in Japan in what is considered by me the best event - DREAM, 2 days later.

Why does Cotto get an immediate title shot?
Doesn't it make more sense for Berto to fight the judah-Clottey winner? That seems like a reasonable step-up fight.

i agree with you on that. i think just let the champs fight it out. winner of judah clottey fight berto the winner of marg williams fight. than let the top two go at it. maybe than when cotto has a fight or two under him let him go after the champ or something. i dont agree throwing cotto in the mix bc of his name. he lost so now let the champs do it.

The picture is clear. Paul Williams is the Man.
