Paul Williams is the man to beat at Welterweight.

He beat Quintana and Margarito who beat Cotto who beat Mosley and 'beat' Judah.

I disagree. I don't think there was much in the fight between Williams and Margarito and skill wise I'm not greatly impressed by him.

Tony is #1 at WW cuz he beat the #1 guy in Cotto. But he owes Paul a shot cuz Paul already beat him. Tony vs Williams 2 has to happen.

He has better skills than Margarito technically. I would like to see a rematch of that over Cotto. Paul with his reach and size etc. Should be able to clean up if he fights like Margarito just swarms in with punches or he can always just outjab everyone.

Definitely Paul would be too much for Cotto. But, the rematch would be awesome.

Neither of them are great technically but I think Williams took the first fight because Margarito more or less sleepwalked through the first half of the fight. A rematch makes sense.

I think he should just fight toe to toe, and try to dismantle people like he did in his last two fights against Quintana. None of that pitter patter crap off the back foot, better reminiscent of the times he stood and traded with Tony.

He's an excellent fighter, and we saw the power in his last fight. It's highly impressive to avenge that loss to Quintana, in that fashion.

Anyways I think if they fight again, Tony will get the upper hand. Only because he fought a terrible, uncharacteristic fight the first time.......not throwing anywhere near his usual quota of punches, and spending too much time waiting for Williams to gas out, which never happened.

He came on strong late, and I thought won the majority of the late rounds Tony did. After re watching I had Williams winning the fight 7 rounds to 5.

Yeah. Margarito struggled with his height I feel. Williams threw lots of soft shots and would rarely load up on any shots. Both threw loadsa shots Williams was just the busier fighter I felt. A rematch has to happen if Margarito fights the same way it would be awesome.

I am gonna re-watch that fight and score it. Just to see how Williams won it or how Marg lost it. We could be in for a war if they meet again. Williams clearly has the power and speed advantage and a good chin. A Margarito that turned up against Cotto will be very difficult to beat.

I would back Williams in a rematch just due to the fact he is a southpaw and his height advantage could be something Margarito will struggle with.

It has to happen though. It makes complete sense.
