I'm sorry, I disagree....This loss was a brutal one for Cotto. Some fighters will never be the same by the beating he recieved. I think Cotto is different from those fighters and will be back. What's crazy is that the beating was in a short period of time. I knew after a few rounds even though Cotto was winning the fight and outskilling Margarito, He would be in trouble because he wasn't hurting Marg with some very flush shots. Cotto's mistake was when he put his back on the ropes. Yes, he was countering off the ropes early but at the pace they were fighting I just knew Marg would catch up to him. He should have stayed in the middle of the ring and threw combos there along with more body shots early to slow Marg down. He would have won the fight. The answer was spoken though.....Cotto's chin is not questionable anymore. He can't take a punch to the head, it's that simple. Cotto will be back on top again. People will pay to see his fights but I suggest no rematch yet. Theres other fights for him out there. He needs to build the confidence again after that brutal beating.

this fight has so many benafits for miguel cotto,

ive nver watched a cotto fight in my life, im from the uk, and id never even heard of margarito,

i watched the fight due to all the hype going around the forum,
the fight lived up to its hype, even though i timed my alarm clock wrong and woke up in round 8,

since the fight everyones talking about cotto, look at the forums, its 90% Cotto threads, Mararito threads???? Hardly Any???

If Cotto learns from the numerous mistakes he made and doesn't suffer emotionally from losing a fight he had no business losing then it can help him in the long run. If Cotto just paced himself better and took some steam off his punches once he realized he wasn't hurting Tony he would've won the decision.

I Dunno how you have come to that conclusion, considering you have never see cotto fight, u see him take a beating from rounds 7-11 and say it was the best thing that could have happened to him? because he looked like a warrior? if anything margarito looked like a warrior because he had to wear down an unbeaten fighter and take blows to the face constantly, showing no fear and no sign of being in pain.
