Amir Khan Chooses Rubio as new trainer

I saw this on ESPN, i have never heard of Rubio before but he coached the Cuban national team at one time. I have no idea how good Rubio is as a pro trainer but it appears most of his experiance is from the ameture ranks, so i do not know if this is the best choice for him. I guess Khan feeling comfortable with him is most important also the guy could be a great pro trainer and has not got to show his stuff yet.

I heard about this yesterday, Rubio is a real underrated trainer. I think what Khan's team was looking for was someone who was a good trainer and without a lot of clients. They got that in Rubio.

Yea i would want a trainer that did not have a bunch of dudes. If i was Khan's people i would want a trainer that made Khan his top priority and they do get that with Rubio. Although there is something to be said for training with other top class fighters around.
