Giovanni Segura vs. Cesar Canchila

Two upsets last night.
The Miguel Cotto one of course but Canchila hasn't gotten any recognition for beating Segura on the forum.

At the beginning of the fight Segura was talking **** and was wayy over confident but as the fight went on and Canchila adapted to his style **** changed very quickly. Segura.. I'm not sure if he has a broken nose or if he wasn't expecting Canchila to come to fight and didn't train very hard but after a while he was fighting with his mouth open exhausted and was running on pure heart. IMO if Cesar would have engaged him a little more and pressured him he probably could have got the knock out.

Anyway, another little nice upset last night. The fight wasn't great but for being in the 108 division, they where throwing some bombs at each other.

Idk if segura ran out of gas or if canchilla adapted well. Segura dominated the first wo rounds and then just seemed to tire.

Segura was obviously the guy HBO and Top Rank wanted to win because he had all the personality. This guy Canchila was hungry and fought an excellent fight all night. Segura's wide swinging punches took all his energy out. I have a feeling that Canchila was way undercompensated for the effort he put forth.

What happened is he didn't have stamina, threw crazy looping punches and was outboxed by a way better boxer who threw a lot straighter.

This is the second time I've seen Segura and that dude always is exciting.

Yeah, as soon as I saw Segura just swinging away like a street brawler I turned to my cousin and said.. how much you wanna bet he loses? Sure enough, he lost.

segura was just too over confident, that was his down fall, i knew he was gonna have problems when he was talking loud in front of the camera.
