You realize PBF ain't fought this year right homey? It's a toss up between Pac and Marg imo. Both won 2 title fights. Pac had a close one wit JMM and a dominant one wit Diaz. Tony owned Cintron and had to come from behind to KO Cotto.

I'd say maybe it's between Pavlik, Pacquiao and Klitschko, but if Margarito fights again this year then he could hurdle those guys. There is still a lot of fighting to be done this year.

Funny thing floyd jr didnt even fight this year and then he won the fighter of the year ESPY award lol.
That goes to show you how much people know about boxing.
They could of put tyson or Ali name and he would of won Espy fighter of the year for 2008

OK!!this is so easy. margarito should be at 95% of the votes. except for the fans that dont know boxing. let me tell u why and then u can hate all u want. Margarito is simply the fighter of 2008. takes out cintron in a rematch by knockout for the title. that fight was just awesome. then he says after cintron im going after cotto and get that belt from him. what does he do? he goes out there and violently knocks out cotto with out problems in what was consider one of the greatest rivalry between mexico and puerto rico. so then margarito said he would go after quintana. he does not have the belt. so he can go for the rematch with williams in which he will destroy. NOW, typical boxing fan would pick pacquiao. yes the guy is amazing and entertaining no doubt. BUT, the only fight he won clearly was against david diaz. a fight that everyone knew the outcome. it was a onesided fight, and not really a step forward for pacquiao. SECOND, he gets lucky with the decision, in the controversial fight with juan manuel marquez. SO, i wouldnt consider that being fighter of the year. that leaves me with MARGARITO,who finally had his chance and accomplished everythinh he promised.
