Which Boxer/Athlete is the Best Rapper?!?

If you had to compare boxers to Rappers, I'd say Roy Jones was to boxing what Lil Wayne is to the rap game now- a visionary... a virtuoso.... the top dog and nobody else is even close. They both make everyone else look BAD they are/were so dominant.

but thats NOT what this thread is about. out of the boxers/athletes who have recorded album, who is the best RAPPER? this is based soley on lyrical skills, flow, phrasing, cadencing, beat taste and selection etc.... They are all pretty ****ing terrible, but when you fight like Roy did, I can't be mad atcha....

The other most common athlete to rap is basketball players. roy plays ball and boxes, so of course he raps....

Roy Jones based on the body head ****ers album. Sure he was the worst guy on it, but some of those songs were surprisingly awesome. That's one of those albums I could listen to every song on it. I guess it didn't hurt that he had Youngbloodz and Magic on there. Think Magic was on almost every song

i agree, but i had to vote savage based on the hilariousness factor. In all seriousnesss, Macho Man could probably cut floyd's sorry ass in a battle. dude whine's even more in his raps than he does on a typical 24/7 episode. its like 1 to the 2, 3 to the 4....

I have to give Jones a lot of props, he is a better rapper than people give him credit for. I liked some of his songs that he did, he's not that bad.

Shaq was pretty tight when he collabed with Wu-Tang but solo he wasn't all that. Roy Jones was the same, he wasn't that tight solo. I don't think any boxer had any true skills on the mic, it was all down to production, collabs and the ghost writers..

are you trying to say weezy is not as good as roy was as a boxer?!? as a HUGE roy fan, i may let that one slide...

if you mean he is not good in general, you're trippin. weezy is better than 'that good'. he is a visionary, a prophet, and transcendent of the whole rap game... he's like the new miles davis- someone who never stagnates, constantly pushes forward, innovates, transcends genre and defines cool....
