If there is a rematch then Cotto will be on his bike for 12 rounds and box more intelligently than he did last night. He now knows he CANT HURT Tony so he will HAVE to outbox and stay on the outside. Personally I cant see the rematch happening, Cotto looked like a broken man at the end of that fight and I doubt he is going to want to put himself through that again in a hurry.
As for Floyd beats cotto and Floyd beats Tony, well unless Floyd decides he wants to come out of "retirement" again and calls one of them out we will NEVER know, all we have is the subjective viewpoints of the fans and the objective viewpoint of the genuine boxing pundit.
i consider myself to be objective 99% of the time and my opinion is that Floyd WOULD indeed box his way to a decision victory over both men as he has superior skills in that department. The is NO WAY he KO's Tony and probably not Cotto either but would PROBABLY beat both.

respect where respect is due. Both Cotto and Margarito deserve it for getting this fight on in the first place and giving us such a memorable night. Whats with all the **** talkin about Cotto though? He fought his arse off but got beat by the better fighter on the night, is that such a bad thing? Should he have ducked Marg like a ***** like certain other fighters? Give the man his due it was a great fight that will go down in history. What i want to know is what is Margaritos training regimen, this guy has the best stamina I've ever seen, he doesnt get tired....ever!!

Cotto vs. Margarito was a great fight, one of the best of the year, and so both fighters deserve our respect.

Let's not forget, "Chicken" Floyd refused to fight both Cotto and Margarito! Cowards like Floyd deserve no respect.
