Cotto did trade though and went toe to toe occasionally, he WASN'T potshotting and past round 6 it was more of a toe to toe battle. After watching last night Mayweather would beat Margarito but it would be boring.

Yep I feel the same way, Cotto was already outboxing Margarito, but he could not keep it up. Mayweather is a better conditioned and quicker guy, he could box all 12 and walk away with decision. But I wonder if he could shoulder roll & slip all of those power punches after they are thrown again & again?

If you think Cotto speed, accuracy,and defensive foot were exceptional.

Just Imagine Mayweather would have done to Margarito.

Mayweather 20x faster than Cotto
Mayweather 50x more accurate than Cotto
Mayweather 1000x better defensive foot work better than Cotto.

This is the point some people dont get when looking at Mayweather.
The only way for Floyd to be consider to be a in FAIR FIGHT.

Don't you see what lost the fight for Cotto was well, Cotto! He screwed up, wrong gameplan for Margarito. When going back Cotto had no plan whatsoever and couldn't clinch to rest. It was like swimming 100 meters on one breath. What he did was spectacular yes, but it was wrong! And it lost him the fight.
