No one is making "easy work" out of Margarito. Floyd may very well beat him with his hit and move tactics, but it will not be easy.

TBH I think the key would be mayweathers defense he's Margo's volume punching would have little effect and Mayweather doesn't get tired. Mayweather knows he can't hurt him so he'd pot shot to a win.

I'm not sure how you can say that after watching that fight. In my opinion it showed exactly why Mayweather has good reason not to have fought the best welters. There is no doubt that the speed an skill differential between Mayweather and Margarito is vast, with Margarito at times looking like incredibly crude and clumsy, but he is huge for a welter, hits hard and simply keeps on coming. If this can wear out Cotto then there is every chance the same could happen to the much smaller Mayweather. Floyd is great, but he isn't invulnerable and to expect Margarito never to catch up to Floyd is unrealistic, and if he did I don't think it would take too much to put Floyd in trouble.

Despite being a Marg fan, I had been absolutely certain that Cotto would win, and remained so for most of the fight. Suddenly it all became too much for Cotto and I received a lesson in what pressure from a bigger man can actually do, even if he is much less skilled. I will hesitate in future before thinking that skill always pays the bills.
