    Props to Antonio Margarito!

What can i say man? He beat Miguel Cotto.

Cotto was boxing beautifully, i honestly gave him the first six rounds. But i think it mght have been the round Margarito had in the 7th is when i started thinking Cotto cant fight like this for 12.

The fight was going exactly how i thought for 6 rounds, but Margarito didnt wear down and instead Cotto tired.

Margarito was on a mission and walked through a loooooot of shots and missed a loooooot os shots without getting hurt or discouraged at all.

Margaritos chin and stamina won him the fight. Also must factor in his great will and determination. Cotto was fighting exceleent with a great game plan but he just couldnt keep it up for 12 against the bigger stronger fighter.

Cotto couldnt fight any better, maybe work the body more. He didnt work Margarito's body at all. But im sure Margarito had something to do with that, maybe his uppercuts or somethng.

Margarito deserves a huge money fight against De La Hoya or a rematch with Williams. Cotto should fight the winner of Judah-Clottey. He probably needs an easy fight next though to see how he bounces back. The skills looked amazing last night, he just needs confidence back. I dont think any fighter but a beast the size of Margarito could break him down like that at 147.

props to Margarito, props to Margarito's fans. Your man must have made you proud last night. I just hope Cotto can bounce back from a loss like Margarito did against Williams and cam back stronger than ever a little while back.

Yo I second this post because the only thing that Cotto could have done more was work the body. I have gained so much respect for Margarito. The man is clearly a beast and last night was the reason why Mayweather and Mosley wanted no part of Margarito. Again mad props to Margarito, his will and determination and heart won that fight.

Props to you for coming on here, But i disagree with you on some point there..I dont think Cotto won the first 6 rounds to be honest, I scored it 4-2 in favour of cotto after the first 6...Cotto wasnt use to boxing/backpedalling or running so you knew he would get tired later on in the fight, He didnt plant his feet and dig to Margarito's body to slow him down.

Margarito has a granite chin because i cant figure out how someone can take all that punches but still kept coming forward throughout the fight, But Margarito is way too slow for my liking.

I scored it 4-2 in favour of Cotto in the first 6, he was outboxing Margarito with ease. Round 7 was the turning point though and Margarito really put the pressure on Cotto and he was never the same after that round, Cotto's face just got worse and worse.

Mad props to both fighters, that's my favourite fight of the year so far.

I couldn't agree with you more. Margarito did his fans, his country and himself proud. The fans were right to have such confidence in their man.

I also hope that the Mexican people can respect the part that Cotto played in the fight, because after 5 rounds I thought he was running away with it. The 6th round onwards it was pretty much all Margarito.

I must admit i had my doubts about him before the fight but they have all been put to bed now. I've been converted.

I've no doubt that Cotto will come back as strong as ever. I don't think he'll be rushing to get back in the ring with the 'Tornado' though.

Seriously, the fight of the year? It was a great fight but it's been a great year so far.
While I was watching it I was thinking Fight of the year but then i remembered how much i loved Vasquez-Marquez III. It's a tough decision in my mind, maybe i'll have to go back and watch them both again.

It's just great for the sport of boxing that a fight that we'd all hyped up in our minds, lived up to and exceeded all of our expectations.

Yeh Vazquez=Marquez III was awesome. It's a tie between the 2 for me.

Fact of the matter is Cotto couldnt overcome Margarito's physical advantages. The only other one that could possibly do that to him is Paul Williams.

Mayweather, Mosley, Judah, Berto, Clottey, Collazo, Quintana, Cintron. It is a loaded division. None of the other guys bring the same equation that Margarito brings which is just a very big size advantage and a great chin.

When the best fight the best....losses happen. Most are capable of beating each other.

Cotto needs to take some time off, take a confidence builder fight, and then get back in the picture. Andre Berto has a belt, Cotto vs Berto would be nice a little down the line.

Then maybe Cotto-Margarito II in the future? Will it be different? Maybe, Maybe not. But if Cotto rebuilds himself and Margarito stays in the picture, it would be HUGE!!!!

but for now, Cong**** to Margarito and his fans on this huge win. He deserves a big money fight or a rematch with Williams.

The Tijuana Tornado slowly and methodically ate up a man and spit him out in front of huge audience.

The tornado was relentless and unwavering despite having run into a few obstacles blocking its path and interruting its rhythm.

The Tijuana Tornado, also known as Margarito is a force to be reckoned with.
