I don't think so he lost to Quintana who lost to Cotto. Only way to decide is the rematch with Margarito,I got the Tornado on that one.

Amazing ****ing fight, I can't wait to watch it again. Both fighters brought their best. Cotto's boxing display the first half of the fight was amazing, the only thing better that night was Margarito's chin. I have no other wish than to see Cotto fight again and Margarito rematch Williams.

            Margarito

This was a classic case of a naturally bigger man beating a smaller man--@ a high level. Cotto is not big enough to be a welterweight. He was getting seriously hurt by JR WWs before moving up. Still, I went into this fight thinking Cotto would win a precariously close D...Cotto did everything one can ask of a fighter and it still wasn't enough. Any JR WW would have folded from the power shots Cotto landed on Margarito...The WWs are too big for Cotto right now. He might have to go back down to the Jrs...I wonder what's running through his mind right now. I mean that was some ass whupping that he took...Now if Floyd wants back in the picture, Margarito should make him wait, and then offer him a 40-60 split. Fraud has nothing to negotiate with anymore.

This Was One Of The Best Fights I Have Ever Watched And It Didn't Disappoint, Not One Bad Round. I Think This Fight Was Similar To How The Fight With Cintron Went...although Not In The Same Calibre In Any Shape Or Form, With Boths Fights You Saw How Margarito Was Willing To Take The Best Shots Of Both Cintron And Cotto Until It Was Made Obvious That He Wasn't Getting Hurt And Their Will Was Broken And Could't Take The Constant Pressure. Obviously Cintron Was Exposed Alot Easier And Sooner But The Fight Went In Similar Fashion, I Think That A Credit To How Margarito Fights, Keeps Coming Forward With Relentless Pressure. The Rematch Would Be Different I Would Still Fancy Margarito On The Basis Of He Can Take Cotto's Shots But Cotto Can't Take Margarito's Pressure And Power..styles Make Fights And The Only Person Who's Style Can Match Margarito's Is The Last Person To Beat Him...williams

You cannot be serious..there's so much wrong with that i cannot begin to explain the magnitude of the error in your ways.

Paul is not the top guy cuz he lost to quintana.

right now Tony is the top dawg. styles make fights. thats just the game of boxing everybody has that 1 fighter they cant beat.

cotto is a warrior and that was an awesome fight. one of the greatest fights ive ever seen in my life. he will be back and be champ again

whats amazing was the shots that tony took. he face looked crazy. i mean shots that will KO anybody in the 147 pound div.

but Tony right now is the man period. hes the best welterweight right now. hes earned it its been a long road for him

I like Cotto. I haven't watched this fight yet. Before the fight I had a feeling that he was going to lose. I just thought with Margarito being able to take Cintron's shots, with seemingly very little effect, that Cotto wouldn't be keep him off. I went and saw a good concert and came home and saw that Margarito had won. I'm not a huge Margarito fan, but this win is a really really big deal. Not sure if I want to watch it and see Cotto lose; It's always tough watching one of your favourites get beat down.

Cotto vs Cintron might be a good fight, eventually. Cotto probably will, and should, come back with a fight to get his confidence back. I've read he has some personal issues with his trainer. Maybe this loss will convince him to make a change, not that his trainer is in any way the reason he lost. I haven't watched it yet.

Also, Margarito is proving how far a granite chin can take you. Speed and technique can go out the window if you can walk through the punches of the harder punchers in your division (Cotto, Williams, Cintron).
