Well, Floyd has the immense foot speed to use the entire ring, and he doesn't trade with sluggers, his body is very durable, superb defense, stamina etc. Yeah, I would definitely favor Mayweather after watching tonights fight.

He would counter like Cotto without taking nearly as much punishment.

Floyd takes Marg easy. Funnily enough, I think Cotto would be much tougher. Although it remains to be seen how much this has take out of Cotto.

Cotto was outboxing Margarito for the first 6 rounds, until Tony took over

But Floyd is faster then Cotto, especially by his feet,he will potshot Tony, and use movement to get out the way,not to mention he has amazing defense where he wont get hit with the uppercut, and hes got great stamina,so yep i also see Floyd winning a UD but for now Margarito is the man at Welter

The entire time I'm watching the Cotto/Maro fight... I'm thinking. "These are the guys that are supposed to beat Mayweather?" Not a chance.

            Margarito would bulldoze Mayweather.

Marg is to slow and fits perfect into Mayweather's advantage. Mayweather gets to move like he always does and Marg's slow lanky punches gets countered and dodged even more so than tonight. Marg hit the canvas a time or two and loses a not so close decision.

I agree. I wouldnt come CLOSE to saying the same about COTTO though. I think Cotto presents a MUCH greater problem to Mayweather then Margarito could. Its a styles thing, not to mention i think Cotto is just a better fighter then Margirto ever was or ever will be.

                  Great fight though

I agree Mayweather would beat Margarito pretty easily and I also think Cotto would give Mayweather more problems. Mayweather has great foot speed, great defense, and most importantly great stamina and he's a very underrated body puncher. When hit throws that little jab to the stomach it takes energy away from his opponents.
