Heres my 3 biggest keys to the fight tonight, from either or and some both men.....Tell me what yall think....
1. Will Margarito be able to EFFECTIVELY pressure Miguel Cotto???
We Know that Marg. is known for applying lots of pressure in his fights, but the key here is will it be effective or not...We've seen how Williams was able to keep Marg at range, therefor nullivying Antonio's ability to use his effective aggresiveness....Also we've seen how Marg. was able to walk through one of the biggest punchers in the WW division in Kermit Cintron, therefore using his pressure to his advantage allowing him to get on the inside and throw his bombs from short range...Cotto must keep him at bay, as he is DEF the better outside fighter, on the inside, this is Marg's bread and butter, and for such a big WW we wouldnt think so....He uses his uppercuts beautifully, and opens his opponent up by first going to the body....We will tel very quickly in this fight, if Marg will be able to impose his pressure/offense first style, and if he can't, and Cotto is able to adapt, and pick off Marg with accurate counter shots, he'll be in some bigg trouble all night.....
2. Can Cotto break Margarito down by going to the bodyenough early, to open up his combo's to the head??
We seen this in almost all of Cotto's fight, his ability to go to his opponents body, and then bring it upstairs with stinging combo's...He broke Judah down like noone before by going to the body early, and opening up to the head from the middle rounds on...With Mosley, and was able to use his left to the body pretty effectively, as Mosley is a solid defense of fighter who doesn't take very many body shots, and he then had Mosley fighting his game...Staying in front of Cotto and trying to beat him i nthe pocket...This also opened up great counter oppurtunities all night for Cotto as he countered wonderfully with his right hand.....WWill Marg's body be a target to Cotto, as we expect Marg to come in and try to come at Cotto straight ahead, with lil head movement as again his best defense is his offense, I think this gives Cotto great oppurtunities to strat with the body, and slowly break down Marg, by then landing some hard flush power shots upstairs....
3. Lastly, who will fold under the bright lights of the biggest fight in both men's career?!?!
Cotto, who has been here before, knows all too well what it takes to get the job done in a huge PPV fight..Whikle Margartio is havin a coming out party as he's only fought on undercards previously....Will Cotto be able to buckle down like he has in 2 PPV Main Events before and get the job done like he did against Judah and Mosley...Or will Margarito step up to the plate and send shockwaves through to WW division with a great performance on his first PPV Headliner??????
What are your thoughts, and are there somemore big keys...I know the last one was kind of Ehhh, but I think this could play a huge factor into Cotto's favor...................
