Bob Arum Conflicted With Cotto vs. Margarito Showdown

If you don't, it vastly diminishes Miguel. If you do, you risk ending Miguel's career.
Not that i think that Tony WILL, but there's two ways I see this fight going:
1) Like Forrest-Mosley 1. A taller, longer man presses and throws alot of punches and the smaller fighter finds that he can't hang in there, nor can he hurt the big man. Not that TM has VF's boxing skill.
2) This becomes a low-activity bout dominated by Miguel's superior speed and boxing ability. Tony tries to press, but is frustrated when he finds out that you are actually allowed to pivot, rotate and move in angles. Margarito's corner is checking the boxing rulebook after round 9 about this whole "angles" thing. They've never heard of it.
25% chance of Scenario 1....75% chance of Scenario 2.Comment

there is no rematch clause and i dbout cotto will ever want to get in the way of a tornado again after margarito gets done with him tonight. and trust me cotto will be a ruined fighter after he gets his first taste of true welterweight power.Comment

How the hell has he groomed Margarito? Anyway, I'm sure he doesn't mind what he's earning.Promoter Bob Arum is not exactly happy with tonight's battle between Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. He tells the New York Post that he feels like father ready to watch two of his sons fight each other in the ring. Arum is very close with both fighters and groomed them for several years, it's going to be tough to watch one of them possibly get knocked out. [details]Comment
