    Finally watched Toney-Jirov

GODDAMN, that fight was, as Toney would say, "something terrible." The scores at the end defiantely weren't right either, I think Toney won the fight, but the scores were nowhere near that lopsided.

Toney put on a ****in sick display of counter punching and accurate shots.

it was every bit as lopsided as the judges had it. I had a thread about it sometime last month. look it up for the scores

One of my favorite fights. Both dudes were beating the hell out of each other. Toney landed around 400 punches, Jirov had to have thrown well over 1000. Round 12 is my favorite round to watch...Manny Steward goes ape****, the crowd goes ape****, Toney lands some ridiculous punches and all but ruins Jirov.

I LOVE watching fights like that when Manny goes into trainer mode. I was cracking up the same way I was during Gatti-Ward round 9, when he kept yelling at Micky Ward to go to the body: "Yes, that it-GO TO THE BODY!!!"

The thing I love about Manny's commentating too is that, he's so ****in knowledgeable, he knows when **** is going to happen, he calls it. Round 1of Cotto-Judah he kept saying how Cotto was gunna get slammed by a left, literally RIGHT before Judah rocked him with that uppercut. Calzaghe-Hopkins, round 7 he kept saying he thought Calz might go down again, and low and behold at the end Hopkins almost knocks him down again with a right hand off the ropes.

I think I had James winning by the same 116-110 tally as one judge had. There was a 9-9 round in there (8th or 9th) where Jirov lost a point and James scored the KD in the 12th.

****, what an amazing fight though. Perfect style clash...created one hell of a violent brawl.
