Taylor will hurt Lacy with his jab...

Lacy got rocked by Mendoza's jab once or twice; Taylor's is going to make him look ridiculous. He'll be running into it all night long, followed by Taylor's big right hand.

Lacy is ****** to take this fight.

Taylor will win easily over Lacy and not get much cred for it. He should go for the belt against Froch. At least then he's got a bargaining chip to get him some more big fights. All he gets from Lacy is a highlight reel KO that'll be forgotte as soon as it's over. Most peeps don't care about Lacy anymore, even if they want to.

Its getting a bit sadistic to watch Lacy get his ass kicked over and over again but Taylor does deserve a tune-up fight and its a good payday for Lacy.

mendoza is an average fighter but he walked through a lot of big shots early in the fight that im not sure jermain taylor would stand up to at 168.

still think 'maine kicks lacys ass

I agree that some of those shots would probably have put JT on his ass, but I think his movement and defense is far too good to let him get hit with the wild bombs Lacy was throwing.

The few times Mendoza used his jab against Lacy it was very effective at keeping him away. Taylor could set up shots all night using his jab.

I totally agree, but everyone is talking about this like its Calzaghe/Manfredo

                Lacy does have a chance.

He's got a puncher's chance, but remember that he hasn't knocked anyone out since pre-Calzaghe. There's got to be a reason for that. He had Mendoza hurt at least twice and either didn't know how to finish him or was too gassed to follow through with it.

It won't be as bad as that fight, but it will probably be more brutal. Not too many people will be picking Lacy, so what is the point?
