If Hatton had fought Cotto, he would've had his first lost a long time ago.

Hatton would not only have lost to Cotto but would have risked serious injury. I honestly cant invision Hatton leaving the ring without the aid of a stretcher

if ricky didn't run back down to 140 every time he had a hicup at 147 this fight could've been made.

I think he could have beaten Cotto about 3 years ago, round about the time Hatton fought Tszyu and Cotto had just recently won the WBO title.

Hatton doesnt like ****ers because he has a passion of blocking shots with his face.Cotto would kill Hatton.I dont think this fight would ever happen.

I don't think Cotto would have won at 140. Cotto chin was weak and Hatton would aply too much pressure. From what I've seen, I belive Hatton would have won. At 147 Cotto K.O's him

it all depends on what weight. hatton is still king at 140. imo he did well against lazcano coming off a ko loss to floyd. i mean he won 9 rounds to 3 on my scorecard. having said that it wasnt the hatton we all no pre-floyd

                  And who exactly is Lazcano?

That bum had lost more than 12 months and was now a waiter in a restaurent and not a fighter. The win against Lazcano is meaningless and Cotto would still put him away from 100lbs to superheavyweight.

Hatton would've beaten Cotto at 140 IMO. At 147 Cotto would destroy Hatton.

Agree, its hard to accept but Hatton wasn't all that at 140. He didn't have a chin and got stunned everytime a clean punch landed. Mayweather's left overs was giving him problems, imagine Hatton? At 147 Cotto K.O's him early
