This is how many tickets Mayweather sold
9,427 at the MGM vs Baldomir
          4,000 in Miami vs Bruseles
15,170 at Thomas n Mack vs Judah
          7,106 in Portland vs Mitchell
12,765 at the Boardwalk vs Gatti
6103 at the Boardwalk vs Corley

Mayweather was argueably the best boxer in the last 10 years but didn't have the fan support. Retirement will help him though.

I think the economy has a lot to do with it, people are struggling to get by, also Bob Arum didn't advertise as he should have, If HBO wanted to get more sell outs and PPV buys they could've produced a 24/7 like they did for Gayweather in his past 2 fights. One countdown show isn't enough to get the occasional fan excited.

But it doesn't matter this is a true boxing fan fight

These tickets WOULD BE SOLD OUT IF - the undercard was better than what it is now. Also promoting comes alot todo with it.

A 24/7 would have helped alot, more promoting get it out there in the world would have helped more and a better undercard that gets the average fan interested to see would help with the ticket sales and PPV sales.

If this fight had better promoting, 24/7 Countdown - good undercard - this would be sold out, PPV sales would have been 500k+ easy. With not that much promoting, a not so interesting undercard this fight is selling good, imagine with a better undercard and promoting.

Would have been EVENT OF THE YEAR.

                      17,000 - 927 = 16,074 tickets sold. Not bad at all.
