Actually, SSM backed out of a Floyd fight TWICE. The first time (1999-ish) was when he was leaving 135. It made perfect sense because Shane was gonna get a DLH fight at 147, and SSM moved up. The second time, Shane was an idiot. He had just KO'd Vargas and Floyd was kinda desperate for a fight. Shane had no real excuse for that ("uhhh, my tooth").

Yeah that was kinda ****** on Mosley part, He was coming from a good win over vargas at the time and could have fought Mayweather next but he chose to fix his tooth...

Well, since Floyd would weigh 147-ish on fight night, it doesn't seem like an unreasonable request. 10 lbs is a pretty big weight concession.

It's not unreasonable for Floyd to want there to be a fair amount of weight difference between the two, but...

Jesus, what an unrealistic thing to ask. Winky was a big 154 pounder as it was... he gained quite a bit of weight overnight at the end of his campaign at 154.

But Winky was a big guy for 154 at that time, He makes the weigh but he normally comes in at about 174 on fight night so i doubt he would be able to stand at 157 on fight night.
