Jeff Lacy needs to hang them up

It's unfortunate. I was hoping he would have an impressive performance and set up the big Taylor fight for November, but now it looks possible that fight may not happen. Even if he does, it is hard to imagine anything good coming out of it for Lacy.

I saw the Tsypko rematch live, the only Lacy fight I've seen since the Calzaghe fight, and it was an underwhelming performance, but since he tore his rotater cuff, I chalked it up to injury. But even since then, and he made the excuse for bulking up too much to compensate for the shoulder against Manfredo, he hasn't looked good. Last night was his last chance to convince people that he's not done as a top fighter. I don't think he succeeded. Nevertheless, I'll keep pulling for him (I like comeback stories--I actually rooted for this guy to lose before and during the Calzaghe fight, but I've been rooting hard for him ever since...) I wish him well...

I can't believe how vulnerable he is, he kept eating those wide, looping shots from Mendoza. The same Mendoza that got completely dominated by Chad Dawson.

Well, Lacy's performance against Manfredo was better (although rather boring). He didnt look like he was going to be taken out with the next big punch like he did last night.
