Tony has had to deal with this basically all his career so this isn't anything new. It wasn't until the Johnson fight that we saw Bob really try and sell Tony as a prized fighter in his stable. Remember the two biggest fights in Tony's career were ones where Top Rank had little or no promotion

Cintron 1 was a Main Events/ESPN collabo with Top Rank's involvement basically null and void

The Williams fight was the one where Bob basically said **** this because of the fact Tony wanted to fight his mando Williams while Bob wanted him to fight Cotto and be tied up to Bob for a long time. This case went to PR and once the WBO gave the OK for the fight Bob basically left Tony's team to promote themselves. Luckily Dan Goossen and his team helped out with the promoting of the fight so there wasn't a drop off.

so Tony is used to being in this role even if his loyalty to Bob and TR is undying.

I have to ask my man

where does it say he fractured his hand? From everyone, and I mean everyone I have asked, Clottey had a bruised right hand and a sore left. Nothing more. I think they make mention of it in the broadcast of Clottey Chico, a guy who sparred with both Clottey and Tony says there was no break only a bruise, and I have to hear one doctor actually confirm Clottey broke it

As a Margarito fan I am extremely offended by this, how can he even look ahead before my boy’s bout? This is very disrespect to Margarito and all Margarito’s fan. Cotto should be hoping that he will be able to see the sun rise on July 27th.

        VIVA MARGARITO

yep. that was the exact question i was going to ask.........if pw aint next for cotto, can we accuse him of "ducking" like they do pbf?

personally my guess is the majority will try to justify it, but its ducking, no more no less. even if cotto gets a fight w/ dlh...........................

It's a great matchup BUT completely unnecessary. After Cotto destroys Margarito, he deserves at least two easy opponents in Puerto Rico. Joshua Clottey is one of your most underrated fighters. He's no pushover and decisively man handled Margarito until the 4th round where he broke his left hand and still for all of Magarito's hype with how dangerous he is, he never seriously hurt Joshua Clottey who for most of the fight was a one handed fighter.

Cotto's people need to be careful with this one and absolutely should not fight Clottey after the Margarito fight. Don't get me wrong, this is a matchup I would like to see but Cotto deserves a breather after Magarito unless Cotto takes a long break from the sport and then fights Clottey when he returns.

The possible match with DLH is more than money, it would give even more exposure to Cotto, and that's always a good thing. Moreover, a victory over Marg and then over DLH will be like a super luring candy for Mayweather to come back and make a mega big fight on 2009. It would be bigger than the one with DLH or the one with Hatton. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I don't know what all this ducking PW is about! Aint nobody ducking him especially after Quintana exposed him. Clottey is a legitimate threat and would not be an easy fight for anyone. PW will get his first he needs to fight Andre Berto so we can set up a big showdown with the winners.

Clottey still has 2 get passed Judah. & if he doesnt he can fight Williams or Berto...or even a rematch wit Judah being that he had a yr. lay-off & two low-blows(early)...
