Most say that Jose Armando Santa Cruz won his fight against Joel Casamayor, in which case he would be the lineal champion of the world. As Santa Cruz is ranked very high by the WBC, why doesn't Pacman put up his title against him while he waits for Campbell, Casamayor, Marquez, Hatton, etc.?

Why that was Pacmans old sparring partner it would be easy work for the pacman.
Santa cruz is the same guy pacman knocked down in sparring before. -
i agree that casa was well under-prepared for that fight. he had a total "oh ****" experience once he got in the ring and saw the combination of jose's tall, rangey physique and strong will to win.... but the judges did him an old-timer, joe louis v. jersey joe walcott-ish type favor in the end. However, like Louis did against Jersey Joe the second time around, I think Casa would destroy Santa Cruz in a rematch and I would love to see him take up the task.
Unfortunately, I think Casa is gearing up for that final payday before he cashes out. he is desperately hoping to beat jmm and get a shot at pac. he doesnt have many wars in him like the katsidis fight left so he's gotta save his body for the big boys. i dont think the santa cruz rematch will ever happen....Comment

Because he is Pacquiao, he dont have to fight contenders but can jump to a new weight class and fight the challenger.Comment

Pac going after a guy who got KO'ed by a guy he recently KO'ed doesn't sound like a compelling match up at all. Sta. Cruz is gonna get stopped a lot earlier than Diaz. There are more worthy prey out there for Pac to consider.
