Anyone Have Barrera Winning First Fight Against Morales?

Yep...I had Erik winning that one too 115-113. I thought Barrera clearly won the third fight by the same 115-113 tally.

yea barrera clearly won the 3rd fight and earned a lot of respect from me well he already had it but even more for boxing so beautifully against such a great fighter morales after the beating that pacquiao gave him

True but that to me seems almost impossible scoring it like that, Barrera seemed never hurt in the fight and Morales was rung quite a few times.

Barrera was being battered badly for the majority of the 5th and was legitimately hurt. I think the only time Erik was really hurt was the 12th. Barrera landed some big shots on him and the double left hook shook him up.

Morales won 7 rounds in my opinion. The phantom KD in the 12th round was bogus, but Morales still won 114-113 in my opinion.

yep......i wouldnt argue a draw...but having barrera win because of the bogus kd is wrong...

I had the first two Ws going to Morales, I though Morales fought more of each fight(didn't he out throw Barrera by like 200 punches between the two?). Morales fought like it was personal(it was), if he wouldn't have fought like it was personal and boxed like we all knew he could. I think he would have broke down Barrera in his regular fashion, not necessarily KO'in him be cruising to a victory more easily rather then trading.

Barrera clearly out pointed Morales in the third fight. Morales just didn't fight like he wanted to win, I remember he said before the fight that he didn't think he needed to fight him he had proved his point and that he was the better fighter.

I thought he should have gotten the decision but it's hard to win those close fights when you're getting outworked like Morales was doing. But make no mistakes, the cleaner blows were being landed by Barrera.

Actually they landed about the same amount of shots and your acting like Morales didn't knock Barrera around some. Morales landed some mean shots, shots most men are KO'd by. I am not sure what exactly you mean by cleaner shots considering they both had their bell rang multiple times in that fight. Barrera fought in spurts and got the better of a lot of the exchanges, but Morales landed a slight amount more shots during the fight because of his higher output.

I preferred the caliber of punches landed by Barrera over Morales'. From what I remember about the fight, Morales threw more, but Barrera landed the higher percentage of his shots thrown. Even when Barrera would close his eyes he was landing punches.
