Cotto is the best infighter in boxing IMO

Damn, thats a good one. I mean, Izzy's main game is fighting on the inside, grinding away. But Cotto's bread and butter are those body shots and he can work wonders the closer he is.

Vazquez has the left to the jaw when he's inside
Cotto has the left to the body when he's inside.

I'd say Cotto has a better jab, Vasquez's one punch power is better, Vasquez is a bit faster (probably because he weighs 25 pounds less...), and both are known to be a bit chinny. Izzy also has some pretty fast hands.

Overall I think Izzy is a better infighter, but Cotto is the overall better fighter since he can box a bit more. Izzy seems to have a weakness to boxers (Larios won round 2 pretty easy in their thrid fight)

Off topic: 2501, do you have a copy of Izzy vs Gonzalez? I've never seen that fight and badly want to.

Vasquez is the better inside fighter but Cotto is the more effective inside fighter. He damages his opponents more with body shots and has that dangerous pin point accuracy.

as far as the topic, ima have to go with Vazquez. His punches are so much tighter and compact on the inside.

like I've stated a thousand times before cotto is a classic boxer puncher.vasquez is an infighter/brawler.there are some slight similarities between the two.

Vasquez. Pretty close though I think.
