I really like Kelly Pavlik, but he should have maybe waited one more year for Hopkins to age and slow down before taking on the champ.
funniest, dellusional thing i have read in a while!

All Enzo is doing is HOPING that B-Hop does pull off the victory to make his son look better for having struggled with a 43 year old and for not having to deal with Kelly Pavlik after the RJJ fight....should he even beat RJJ.

These guys DO NOT want any of Pavlik, a prime active fighter. They tried to get rid of him with Enzo's journeyman Lockett and it didn't turn out well.
      You said it best!

He wasn't supposed to beat Calzaghe. He was a 3-1 underdog and nearly pulled it off...some people thought he won the fight. I'm a huge Hopkins fan and I called Calzaghe winning by SD. I think Pavlik is an easier opponent than Calzaghe considering he is slower, more predictable, and has mediocre defense. I'm confident Hopkins can control the first half of the fight, I'm just concerned with him running out of gas as the rounds go on. I haven't made my decision yet but I think it will be a close fight.

His problem is that he doesn't let his hands go. He might very well still be the middleweight champ if he threw more punches. He has lost fights when other fighters outwork him, and not beaten him.

Why is Pavlik being made out as the second coming? I don't see why Enzo's prediction is getting so much ****. Pavlik has beaten one world-class opponent out of 33, Jermain Taylor, who was possibly one of the worst middleweight champions in recent memory. It's not hard to build up the highest middleweight knockout ratio in history when 95% of the wins are against inferior opponents. Mikkel Kessler, Arthur Abraham and Chad Dawson are all better fighters than Pavlik in my opinion.

The Ghost.. you never see it coming.. the result haunts you.

Man.. I have been trying to explain to ya'll that Pavlik is the real deal. He's not a skinny mechanical white boy. He's is actually a cerebral student of this game, with surgical power. Did ya'll not see the way he ended Jermain Taylors career? Taylors career is OVER.. Miranda's career is OVER. Pavlik is that ghost whose punching power haunts you. He looks and sounds like a dopey white boy but if you look at the reaction and after math of his opponents its scary. II am telling you all.. Pavlik is a lot better than everyone thinks he is. He's humble and dopey looking so you dont see it coming.. thats why they call him the ghost. As much as I like Hopkins (Hopkins your my dawg) I honestly think KP is going to knock him the **** out.. then everyone will realize what I am saying in this post.

Yea, he doesn't let his hands go very much but he picks his shots and that can often be enough to win rounds. I full expect Pavlik to throw a lot more punches than Hopkins but the difference is that Pavlik doesn't throw quick combinations like Calzaghe which can be deceiving because of a lot of people think a lot of punches are actually landing. So I don't think Pavlik is going to be able to win rounds in the same way Calzaghe did when you take that into consideration along with Hopkins great defense but if Hopkins isn't throwing anything than Pavlik's workrate might be enough. But again, I think he should be able to land more against Pavlik.
