How was the Mayweather/Judah fight not significant (Commamg)? I would agree that the fight lost some appeal in some quarters because Judah lost to Baldomir (Thats why Mayweather had a look at Hatton who turn the fight down for not been ready).

But the fight didnt lose any significant because the tension between the 2 fighters was on a high going into the fight.

what significance was there? it wasnt for the Ring championship, it wasnt between the other top two welters..it was the P4P best against a mental case..and what was the result of the fight? A RIOT, started by the mental case..
did you ACTUALLy think Judah had a shot to win? c'mon man,,,,,

My point is that your claim to know what the "black community" thought of Mayweather-Judah is both highly convenient and hilarious.

I didnt say Dela and May couldve been held at 140. I said It was an Oscar weight..meaning Floyd didnt have to move to 147 which you claim he did, in order to fight Oscar..

I know the what the black community thought that I lived in..and that was Judah didnt have a shot ....

If you mean that Floyd could have skipped welter and gone straight to 154:

Floyd had to go through 147 to get to 154. The fight wouldn't have been made without Floyd first doing some business @ 147.

And it's not very germane a point --- since the post I was responding to suggested Floyd should have never left jr. welter at all.

Because they once sparred and Morales got the best of him.

It was said through out boxing and in articles.

you were saying he had to go to 147 to fight Dela ..

if Im not mistaken the Dela fight was at a catch weight...

Are you saying you cant skip a division ? Didnt Roy skip crusier to fight Ruiz?

wasnt PW going to Skip 154 to fight Pavlik?

Only a Mayweather fan can say it ment anything.

It didn't mean anything in boxing cause Mayweather was to gain nothing from this fight. Thats why it ment nothing. Just like when Pacquiao went for Morales the first time, but it back fired on his ass and Morales beat him.

Mayweather v. Judah was a meaningless fight unless it was a fight you wanted to see it was good but it had no true significance unless Judah was to beat him.

Mayweather should have fought Baldomier instead or got the 8 million to fight Margarito.
