I read some clips off espn chat from yesterday where Margarito repetedly downplayed Cottos punching power. Is this guy serious? Is Cotto fighting him with his hands tied behind his back or something ... All he talks is abouto KO and what a threat he is... Tell you what if he opens up fighting the way he did Clotty, dude doesn't pass 5...
Who besides mysellf thinks Margarito is underestimating Cotto's punching power?

I'm pulling for Tony, but, unbiasly speaking, I would not be surprised to see Margarito hit the canvas. Skills tell, and Cotto has got skills. The point I'm trying to make can be explained using the example of Floyd knocking out Hatton, while Kostya Tszyu wasn't able to put a dent in Ricky. KT being the much harder puncher, but Floyd being better skilled. Floyd created the KO opportunity with angles and timing; a surprise punch that Ricky was unable to brace himself for. Tony was never phased by Kermit Cintron, however, with Cintron, what u see is what u get. U see the power coming, and if you don't have the whiskers, its lights out, whether u brace yourself or not. Tony has the beard, but if he don't see the **** coming, it's a whole 'nother ball game. Cotto may be able to create that KO opportunity, and I think that's the game plan come Saturday night. It's Tony's WILL against Miguel's SKILL, which will prevail???Comment

Cintron's shot were smuttered. Cintron fought Margs game and just stood there and ate shots, letting himself get hurt and weak and his punches get weak.
Let Cintron stand there, set and unload on Marg MORE than once and see Marg hit the canvas hurt. You say Marg took Cintrons best shots, Cintrons shots were smuttered.
Everybody downplays Cotto before a fight and he always comes through and proves them wrong. His Bodyshots will wear and slow Marg down.Comment
