    Margarito Too Underrated?

and i dont mean by posters here but by the so called "boxing experts" i still havent seen any of them predicting margarito to win
i mean ppl were very divided when picking a winner in the last superfights beetwen mosley vs cotto or dlh vs mayweather
is this really just another no risk fight for cotto? are people really that convinced he is gonna defeat margarito?
i mean they all agree its gonna be competitive but no one really expects margarito to win
imo this is a risky fight with little reward fight for cotto
if he wins then he did what he was supposed to do as a p4p fighter, if he loses well hes gonna take a lot of **** about how he was exposed and he can say goodbye to a megafight with dlh
margarito really has nothing to lose in this bout, if he loses he was expected to, if he wins he is the man at 147, if margarito loses his career is gonna take a step back but i dont think top rank is not gonna dump him unless he gets knocked out that would be a huge blow to his career
what are ur thoughts on most boxing experts picking cotto and almost none picking margarito?

I tend to think the Boxing experts are underrated by you. Cotto UD or TKO.

Well it makes sense for the experts to be picking Cotto. He's overall the better fighter. He's fought the better competition and still remains undefeated. Plus Margarito's last two wins have been against Golden Schlong and Cintron. Not exactly two guys that are close to Cotto's level. Who know's it's boxing and anything can happen, but Cotto seems to be the smart choice.

Im not sure if Marg is underated. This fight is intriguing because it will answer questions like when Marg applies pressure how will Cotto deal with it, will Marg even be able to apply the pressure he wants, because we saw how Williams threw so many punches early on Marg couldnt really come forward. Cotto doesnt throw as much but whatever other wrinkle he provides how will Marg deal with it. Will many of Cotto's punches be blocked, Marg stamina seems better, will he let Cotto waste he bullets in spots and then move forward, I cant wait to see what their gameplans are.

            yeah i guess
so this is probably gonna be an upset if margarito wins it
i mean ppl here tell u its gonna be a 50/50 fight but thats not true and by looking at the experts pick ive realized that
i still think margarito takes this cotto is not gonna be able to resist trading shots with margarito hes gonna watch margarito going all out and people cheering for his wide shots and he is gonna engage

u seem to be spamming the forum with margarito hate threads but thats actually a good post
when the favorite faces a challenger there is always questions is dlh too big for floyd? can mayweather withstand hatton non stop pressure? is mosley too slick for cotto?
and the experts usually have doubts and theyre opinions usually differ
but almost all experts are picking cotto thats why im so surprised i mean what happened with cotto ? chin, what happened with cotto not handling pressure?
and u can count that margarito gameplan will be attack till he cant anymore, its just a question of how much intensity and damage hes able to apply

Insiders always pick the boxer over the puncher. Maybe 80% of the time they're right. Can't blame em for favoring Cotto, but if they think he can beat him easily they're kiddin themselves.

Usually the brawler has more power, I dont think so in this case, I think Cotto hits harder, Marg has the reach but Cotto makes up for it some with his speed, intriguing fight.

ElGran you can't really just call it the experts, its even amongst Margarito's fans here. There aren't many boxingscene Margarito guys who like his odds either. Many of the big Margarito backers aren't taking any bets or are asking for at least 2:1 odds.
