The Cotto Hype Machine Could Be Unbearable!

I made the Pac Man thread recently and in it I also talked about how Cotto's wins get overhyped. Santos beasts Margarito and its like no one cares. They still rank him super high and call him the most feared man on the planet. He gets dominated by Clottey until his hand injury and again people turn the other cheek. Williams beats him as clear as day and its like it doesnt even matter. Its no big deal.

Now watch what happeneds if Cotto beats him. Some how this will turn into the biggest win in boxing history like Cotto beat some kind of legend. Williams beats him and its not a big deal but Cotto beats him and everyone will sweat him to no end like he just beat a top P4P legend who has beat a ton of guys. Thats what happened in the Zab fight and thats how it will go again "if" Cotto wins. I swear I just cant understand how alot of guys like Margarito lose or look like garbage at times but no one cares and if that happened to someone else then they would be going crazy. I swear I cant understand how a guy like Cotto can get 10x more credit for a win that someone had already done before him

By this guys standard no fighters are great. It is possible to take the record of any fighter and pick it apart and criticize it until his record means nothing. I've seen this done with Mayweather, Margarito, Cotto, Mosley, Hopins, De La Hoya, Tito, Roy Jones, and even with Muhammed Ali and Rocky Marciano.

If you let yourself understand this then you will realize that Margarito is a damn good fighter. Not flashy, but damn good, and he is a big strong welterweight. Cotto deserved to be praised if he beats him, especially if he does so convingcingly.

oh no, the only great fighter is Mayweather according to him because floyd beat the greatest WW champion in Baldomir, then beat the greatest and most power threat in Ricky Hatton and then moved up 78 weight classes to beat the new Gold Medalist peaking in his prime, undefeated in his last 7 figths Oscar De La Hoya. no, Floyd's wins are never hyped up, not like Cotto's.
