    Good Biography of Sugar Ray Robinson??

    I want to read a good biography of Sugar Ray Robinson but can't seem to find one, anyone reccomend any???

    I have found

    Being Sugar Ray and Pound for Pound: A Biography of Sugar Ray Robinson


    But some of the reviews have been abit shabby of these books.

    Or I might get HANDS OF STONE: The Life and Legend of Roberto Duran.

    This has had excellent reviews.


    But would like to know more about the real sugar ray

      Find the HBO special that was on Sugar Ray Robinson that was one of the best sports doc. i have ever seen them do and they do some damn good sports doc., It is not a book but it very good.

            I can't remember which one I have but it's the one where Ray Robinson's son wrote it or had a foreward in it, it was a really good read.

                I just finished reading Pound for Pound. It wasn't bad. It gave you a good sense of his life and even some of his dark side.

                My only complaint is that people said he was kinda aarogant and they never really showed why. Also I would have liked if they would have focused on his dark side a little more. They try to make him the victim.

                Positive is that it doesn't have cheesy stuff like Oscar's book.

                  I read that many years ago. It was interesting, but not what I would call revealing. Ray definitely had a dark side.

                    Think i'm gonna order Hands of stone (Roberto Durans book). The reviews have been fantastic so will give it a try.
