A bout with two East L.A. fighters in a venue like Staples Center, the Home Depot Center, or even Dodger Stadium, is something that De La Hoya has warmed up to.

“Having two L.A. guys at Dodger Stadium would be bigger than a Cotto fight,” says De La Hoya. “It would be an L.A. thing to have 55,000 people. That would be amazing. It all goes back to Richard (Schaefer) doing his homework and seeing if that is the biggest possible fight for me.”
It's either going to be Cotto or Pacquiao, Mora doesn't bring him enough money, it would do pretty well in LA but he mind as well go for a third fight for Mosley if that's what he's looking for, which would do even better than Mora at the gate and bring him more money.

A Pacquiao fight would be huge in terms of PPV buys and ticket sales.

Floyd jr wasnt a huge draw before his fight with oscar.

        you are undermining Moras capability.

They will sell the story on 24/7 do a press tour and they will get at least 700,000 ppv buys which will be more then the 450k oscar would do with pacman.

Mora, who hasn't headlined a HBO PPV card ever, can make 700k against DLH but Pacquiao would only do 450k when he did 400k against Marquez??

DLH vs Pacquiao would probably do over a million buys, Mora vs DLH shouldn't even be on PPV.

                Stop exaggerating!
Pacman is an Asian who can barely speak english how marketable is he to Americans? Let us be real.
Oscar vs pacman will do maybe 500k tops buys!
Oscar vs forbes didnt even do well on regular hbo!
Now Oscar vs Sergo Mora can be built up and marketed well especially to the hispanic american community it can do anywhere from 700-900k buys.
Remember Mayorga vs oscar did 925,000 buys.

I cant believe that someone made this thread and then I cant believe that weve had all these responses without someone saying what Im about to say. What the Hell are you talking about when you say "passing of the torch"? Thats the dumbest thing Ive ever heard. Oscar vs PBF is passing of the torch, vs Cotto is passing of the torch, vs Pac Man is passing of the torch, but Mora? Why the hell would Oscar talk about passing the torch to a C level type fighter? You guys act like Mora is great now because he beat Forrest. Ive never ever heard someone say passing of the torch in reference to a guy like Mora in any sport. Passing of the torch means a great fighter giving it to another great fighter. Mora isnt that.

I also dont buy the fact of Oscar ending his career with a clearly meaningless win over Mora. Who cares about L.A.? He already just had the going away fight in L.A. Now he's supposed to finish his career off with a big time legacy fight wether he wins or loses. He can go back to 154 but make Cotto come there. Any other fight is meaningless
