    Countdown to Cotto vs Margarito...

I watched the show last night for the first time and I have to say I was impressed with Margarito. I never knew this guys story really and I really like him even more now.

I know that Cotto is the heavy favorite and according to Las Vegas I think the odds are 3 to 1 right now but I believe Margarito wants this more than Cotto does. Cotto was born and bred to be a fighter, he has had everything. The support of his family and a good life in PR.

Marg on the other hand has taken the tough road up, there's no doubt about that. I have said this a million times and I will say it again, I think most Mexican fighters are mismanaged. Marg was thrown into the ring with grown men at the age of 15 and thats where he suffered most of his losses. They do this with so many Mexican fighters and I think it can really hurt a young kid's confidence.

On the other hand, Cotto has been handled perfectly and that's the reason he is undefeated.

I expect a great fight, even though the odds makers aren't giving Marg a real chance to beat Cotto. I actually like both guys and think they are both top level fighters, I just am rooting for Marg because of everything he's been through and the fact that his entire career is riding on this fight.

Yes sir, I've said it a million times, Tony is humble and a good hearted person despite his ring persona and no regard for human life. He is also lucky he's got the support of his wife Michelle, I'm sure that keeps him focused as well, she seems like a great woman. My girlfriend cried during the sad story of his brother and I couldn't help but shed a tear as well, it was really moving to see Tony crying as he told us the story. I'm an only child but I can imagine how devastating it must be to lose a sibling, especially somebody as close as Manuel was to Tony.

Im sure Cotto wants the fight very badly too. They just went two different directions with the fighters on the countdown. They showed a side of Cotto you usualy dont see with him fooling around and having fun. Then they showed Margarito's struggles and such to get to the top. Im sure Cotto has struggled in ways, and im sure Margarito jokes around too. Its just the way they made the fighters stories for the countdown. It showed them in different ways than we are used to seeing them.

excellent countdown. got me even more pumped for the fight!

it sounds crazy but you get use to that.I never cry at funerals or anything.I just think the fact that there not here has set them free from all this bull**** in the world.we don't love each other enough to take all the money in the world to fund aids research,we don't love each other enough to stop bombing each other.its baffling to me that we can't look at each other the way we look at family.cause we're all related.we don't look like dogs,we're all human beings.we're all brothers sisters and cousins.and as the superior species of this earth we're designated to protect it.but we don't.we polluted and destroy it.its depressing really.but hey that's life/

The most impressive thing I noticed about that mural,

not a single sign of disrespect by tagging. You can tell its been there a long time not only by the date of his death, but by the peeling paint as well.

Pours one out for your primo.
