Calzaghe vs. Jones Jr. postponed untill 2009?

    From Mich. Marleys site:

Top Reasons Why Roy Jones-Joe Calzaghe Has Been Postponed And May Not Happen Until 2009:

    1:
Stated reason, Joe C. Wales has a bad paw.
    2:
Starting a promotion with a July 29 presser in New York for a big show at the Garden Sept. 20 was just plain dumb. It’s summertime, people are away, they are distracted, they won’t pay attention until after Labor Day,
    3:
Uber promoter Golden Boy has been sniffing around Calzaghe or vice-versa. Why would GBP, which handles Ricky Hatton, want dueling Hatton and Calzaghe big bouts in the US in November? Makes no sense.
    4:
Frank Warren, who handled Joe adeptly for a dozen years, is growling and calling in his Bengal Sabretooth Tiger lawyers to go after Calzaghe in a lawsuit. This may have put the brakes on the fight.
    5:
Not only is November a train wreck littered with other shows, why would any promotion want to stand in the path of a huge circus, meaning Oscar de la Hoya vs. Megamanny Pacquiao if it goes through for Dec. 6?
    6:
Someone woke up and realized Jones-Calzaghe belongs on HBO, not on PPV,
    7:
Did I mention how the massively popular Hatton sucks the air out of the entire UK when he fights? Hatton has an army of loyal followers, the Hattonites, as opposed to Joe’s small band of Welsh coal miners grandchildren.

Marley speculates that it'll collide with several other big ones. So much so that a furter postponement is warranted.

I wonder if this causes the Mosley-Mayorga fight to go back to PPV now that the date is open?

The one big fight from a British standpoint it coincides with is Hatton-Malignaggi, the rest of the fights aren't as big as Calzaghe-Jones.
