Ok first off im mexican born there but raised in AZ and unlike many so called mexicans on here i speak fluent spanish. My family uncles aunts grands everyone except 4 me and my dad and bro always go 4 our fav fighters. I'm a Margarito fan but Cotto is my favorite boxer right now. On sat we will get hated on and they will say were suppose to go 4 the mexican. Yet im one of the few that was actually born in mexico. Any other guys face this before?

I usually go 4 the mexican not because if race but i love the way they fight. 9 times out of 10 i will go 4 them

Mayweather/De la Hoya. I was invited to a party that was nothing but mexicans. Alot of them were wanted oscar to win but all said floyd would probably win. Hell there were 4-5 floyd mayweather jr fans there. They asked me and I told them i was going for oscar. The reason is I knew floyd was the type of fighter that doesnt consistantly fight the best fighters and if he would have won he would take the easy route. I knew if oscar won then he would have went on to fight more big name fighters creating more excitement in boxing. Also hate him or love him i actually like what oscar is doing for boxing on the business side. To many times I have seen some legendary fighters lives go to **** post boxing due to promoters raping them finacially. Oscar and de la hoya promotions is one of the organizations that i think will change boxing for the better.

I think you are not talking about race really, you are talking about nationalities.

I point it out because it would be really hard to describe Puerto Ricans as a one race nation.

Anyway, I know what you say. Tito Trinidad and his father have said things that made me mad, and I was going for both Hopkins and Jones. Among those things was his father saying in the newspaper that John Ruiz wasn't a real Puertorican and that the real Puertorican champion was Trinidad.

You must be joking right? Ask any boxing what is the worst and most boring division and they will say the heavyweights. The ONLY class dominated by whites(Eastern European I may add). Kelly Pavlik whom it wouldn't matter what race he is happens to be the only fighter that will fight ANY of the top fighters. Race has little to do with whether a fighter is a champion or not.
