Calzaghe's 1 win at 175>>>>Erdei's (WBO titleholder) whole career. of course he's a light heavy champ.

The ring belt means nothing really, just a magazine toy, IMO he lost the fight against B-hop. He beat Eubank Clearly to win the 168 belt but really that split discision win ova b-hop for his ring belt is really nothing. if he wins a belt in a sanction( WBC,WBO etc..) then he will be a champ at 175
For now IMO just a legit champ at 168.
Firstly, Your opinion on who won a fight does not matter. Joe Calzaghe was awarded the win against Hopkins and thats how it will go down in the record books. A lot of people think Oscar beat Floyd (not me btw) so does that mean we should not think of Floyd as a champ at 154lbs, of course it doesn't.

Secondly, I completely disagree with your view on the ring belt. I personally see the ring belt as the most important title. In todays world of corrupt sanctioning bodies the ring belt stands out from the rest; it follows the true lineage of a division and in recieving it Calzaghe became the real champ at LHW.

I find it laughable that you suggest that if Calzaghe was to win an alphabet title you would consider him a champ. With the reletive ease you can gain a title thesedays I cannot share your sentiments.

This thread basically says that IF Calzaghe is 2-division champion because of his RING-light heavyweight belt, then PACQUIAO should be a 5-division champion because he became the RING-featherweight champion after he defeated Marco Antonio Barrera!
