I usually don't agree with you but this is match set game. If you want to be the villian wouldn't you want to show who made you who the boss is now? If you're as confident as you like to act I would have that be priority number one. By beating Cotto he would set Cotto back a step. Make ridiculous money by doing it. Assuming Cotto has beaten Margarito at that point wouldn't he also be leaving Arum with two damaged products? One loss for Cotto isn't career ending but where does it leave Margarito to? You already can say, "He needs a tune up fight or five or six before he's ready for me, we'll fight down the road and it will be even bigger and better, when we're at the AARP leavel". Actually as much as I didn't like Floyd not fighting prime welters, really he got the last laugh on Arum.
Refused big money, and made double what he did with Arum while leaving him out in the cold.

yeah, in 2002.. you forget that Cotto started his career in 2001 and Mayweather started his out in 1996... So comparing what they are making right now is ******ed since Mayweather has been in the business longer and had more time to make money.

You put their careers in perspective though and Mayweather wasn't making what Miguel Cotto is now when he was 7 years in the game. He didn't have a airplane company sponsoring him, he didn't have Ford sponsoring him, nore Ecko, or Rums Of Puerto Rico, or a bank..
