    Kessler vs. Haussler purse bid won by german promotor Sauerland.

    The pursebid for Mikkel Kessler's first defense of the WBA supermiddleweight title, a mandatory against Danilo Haussler, was today won by german promotor Sauerland.

    The winning bid was 1,140,040 USD and Sauerland wants the fight to go ahead between Sep. 7 and Oct.

    Team Palle, Kessler's promoter bid 777,777,77 USD.

    The purse is to be split 60-40 in favour of the champion.

    Kessler needs to vacate the WBA belt, he's wasting his time fighting bums like Sartison and Haussler.

      I think he'll pick up this pay-check and then move on to the US. And can you blame him? Every 'name' has a fight lined up this fall, so Kessler's got to stay busy earning some dough.

          He's pretty durable, but not worthy of a titleshot. I'll be dissapointed if he isn't spreadeagled inside 5.
