I like Collazo, but... he managed to drop a decision to a Ricky Hatton who sucks at WW, and then lost almost every round to Sugar Shane. He hasn't really proven himself as a badass WW, yet.
Can you blame him? He broke his thumb in the third round.

It's the kind of opponent HBO likes for their housefighters. Someone with a recognizable name, even if he really doesn't have much of a chance. Example B...Taylor vs Lacy. HBO is looking at that as a showcase fight for Jermain.

Collazo stunned Hatton and that made him hot. I am not hating on the guy but he's getting more street-cred than Tony and lots of people call Tony garbage including Kevin Iole.

We all know what happens to Collazo if he fights Tony though.

no... actually you have no idea. he'd take that fight in a minute. margarito hasnt fought anyone as slick as lou.... he'd love to fight anybody in the WW division.

he beat hatton IMO and would have done much better against mosley if he didn't injure his thumb. it was actually in the 2nd rd, not the 3rd.

paul williams agreed to fight him but hbo wouldnt offer enough to keep the interest paul who only wants a huge payday now. not worth the risk too him and he knows the risk cuz lou helped him spar for quintana.

hes in top condition. the guy runs 5 miles in a little over 25 minutes for christs sake. hes a beast and is totally under the radar. i think hell beat berto, but berto dont want none now. he wants 2 pound who he knows cant ****, only box. lou can do both... i hope collazo gets a fight soon and he will cuz he is the #1 mandatory for bertos wbc belt and cant be ducked forever...
