Calzaghe best Hopkins for light heavyweight and got the lineal title

Hatton beat Kostya and won the lineal title for light welterweight

Haye beat Enzo Maccarinelli and won the lineal title for cruiserweight

If you beat the top ranked fighter in the division by ring magazine you win their title. Or if you are ranked number one in the division by ring and beat second ranked you win lineal title.

          That's what i thought.

But i forgot he said England, not UK. So it's 2 lineal titles we own. Still, not bad.

UK are doing extremely well in boxing at the moment. 3 lineal title, does any country beat that now

Well, let me ask you this....Do you consider Calzaghe as one of you own? Is the fact that he is from Wales virtually the same as if he were from England?

Not trying to be a ****....just curious how it works across the pond.
